National Car Parks (NCP) remains a major player in that market, offering about 200,000 parking places, spread across some 700 city and town centres, airports and railway stations, and frequently working in partnership with public bodies.

The geographical fragmentation of the business demands particular organisational and managerial skills and access to support on employment law and related matters. Since the late 1990s, our employment lawyers have worked with NCP's HR specialists and line managers to help ensure that sound standards are maintained in this difficult business environment.

Our approach is to provide pragmatic advice on employment problems and reinforce 'the message' with robust defences at employment tribunals.

Sharon Eley, Shared Services Director of NCP, says:

"We have a good working relationship with Collinson Grant. They understand our business well and the day-to-day issues on which we need specialist support."

In order to maintain its place in the market, the company has faced up squarely to the need to embrace change in its working practices and structures. We are proud to have assisted it in national and local projects to achieve more efficient resourcing through the extensive use of mobile operatives and strong linkage with its National Operations Centre.
